Truffles and Champagne

Girls Night In!!!!

I invited a few of my friends over for chocolate and champagne. We gossiped, laughed and enjoyed our time together. I made dark chocolate truffles, peanut butter, toasted almond and cayenne pepper flavored truffles. Of course everyone was afraid of the cayenne pepper but after trying one they were hooked. Nothing like a little spice to make the night a success.

Individual Mac and Cheese

I was in the mood for something cheesy so I decided to make homemade mac and cheese. I didn't want the "from the box" kind so I mixed up sharp cheddar, mozzarella and parmigiano-reggiano tossed it into half and half added some butter. It was so rich and creamy. My sons gobbled them up in minutes.

Wedding Cake

I can not take any credit for this amazing cake. My best friend and New York's most promising cake designer made it for my wedding. Check out her website http://www.realmofthesensesnyc.com/

Sugar Cookies

I wanted to post some more of my work. These are all handmade to order cookies. The recipe is this scrumptous buttery, sugar cookie frosted with the most rich, delicious icing. I love making these cookies. I'm amazed how every one turns out like a little piece of art. They are almost to pretty to eat but make sure you do, because, they taste even better than they look.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Last night I attended an engagement party. It was so much fun, children were running free, the food was fantastic, the music was intoxicating, the happy couple was enchanting, even the rain was hypnotizing and of course the favors were out of this world. It was a backyard party that had it all. I made scrumptious chocolate chip cookies as favors. I spied a few guests eating them at the tables. Always makes a girl happy.

Best wishes for Laurie and Terry. I'm already thinking of wedding favors ideas.

Chocolate Truffles

On June 6, 2009

I was grateful to be a part of my good friend's baby shower. We have been friends through so many important parts of our lives such as 1st Boyfriends, Proms, Graduations, Weddings and now Babies. I was pleased to have made the favors for her shower. I made the most decadent chocolate truffles in 3 flavors: Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut and Coconut. Yum!! They were so delicious I had to make a separate batch for my husband and kids to eat. My 2 year old proudly calls them "coco balls".

I want to wish Brielle and her family the best of luck with their new adventure as parents and to say I'm so happy that I will forever be connected to this amazing time in her life.
